Title: bad vibrations

when i start my gti 8v i can feel it shake the steering wheel/column, then once its ticking over i can feel vibrations through the steering wheel.

i recently changed the front engine mount but it made no difference.

what else could it be?

is it powersteering?
what happens when your driving say regular town driving and motorway driving?

yeh, tiz power steering, thought all mk3 gti's are? oh well. :laugh:

driving normal and motorway driving is ok. no vibs then. just on start up and tick over.

loose pump mounts or pulley?

when you speed up it would balance out

ok will check that out. do you think it might be the rear engine mount or the gear box mount? would it be worth changing them?

is the rear engine mount on the mk3 gti the same as the front on cuz they dont list it on euro car parts???
