HI, I have a mk2 90 8v gti which the missus drives (caveats out the way) and need an audible warning for when the lights have been left on and the ignition is off. Like you get on newer cars  Am fed up of flat batteries and jump starts. Has anybody else done this, ideally it would take 5mins to do and cost FA !
Cheers

i had a look in the maintenance section but couldn't find it! sure its on here somewhere, its as simple as wiring a buzzer to a few different feeds i think.

I must update that actually, as i have a better method, that means it only works with the ignition off, as its annoying the buzzer coming on if you let someone in or out etc...
-
that sounds good cuz i have done one and although its saved my battery a number of times it does get annoying occasionally.
where do i connect up to for it to operate only with the ignition off then dude??

Super - come on lets have the update

Girlfriend now installed in Golf. I have the buzzer in hand and cant decide whether to wait for the new method and risk a flat battery or install it using the way detailed above :undecided:
