Title: breaking a caravelle?
Post by: vw-bob on 16 March 2007, 18:17
now, i am starting a new job on monday at wallhouse auto's. its a VW specialist breakers in erith, kent. when i spoke to the man who owns the breakers he said that there is a high possibilty that i will be removing the engine and gearbox from a caravelle. now i have never seen the engine in a caravelle, let alone take one out. so i have no idea how to do this job.

so if the man says to me "get on with it then", i want to look like i know what i am doing as i dont want to loose the opportunity of working in the garage.

i was just wondering if anyone had any pointers and helpful advice  so that i dont look like a complete beginner!!

as this is mainly a golf gti forum, i dont know how many of u have done anything like this (appart from those who work in garages).

any help and advice would be greatly appreciated

thanks
