Title: glovebox full of water???

Been to check on my mk2 today and the glovebox was full of water? Has anyone else experienced this? What was the cause and remedy? Thanks.

It sounds like the metal under the windscreen seal has coroded over the years,  the water has got under the paint and onto the metal and it's bubled up and eaten a hole in it.  Or the windscreen may simply just need resealing.
I think theres a common problem with the heater matrix seal, but not sure if water can get in in the glove box with that problem.
