hi, i took my car into a garage to get the cambelt changed, and they have royally messed it up!!! i went to pick it up and they said it was good to drive away, i pulled out and drove away slowly for a couple of minuites, then i put my foot down a bit and the car loses a lot of power its like the turbo is not working, i went back to the garage and it started kickin out black smoke from the exhaust, cutting out, and a loud whistling noise, can anybody shed any light on this as they havnt repaired it yet

sounds very much like what happened when VW managed to drop a bolt into my turbo inlet pipe while changing my maf sensor, which led to the massive internal destruction of my turbo  hope its nothing quite so severe for you.. it could even be just the maf sensor.

It could be that the belt has been fitted with the cam/crank pulleys out of alignment knocking the timing out or the tensioner has been incorrectly fitted allowing the belt to jump on the pulleys - possibly when you put your foot down, again knocking the timing out.

That sounds like they have failed to reconnect one of the pipes to the intercooler.

they have now fixed my car, thay put vagcom on it, but they said the turbo inlet pipe had come off, yyyyyyeeee haaaaaaa
