Hi all, I have got the chance to buy a white Mk3 van and am seriously considering it as a project. My wife actually used to own it to do mobile beauty out of and before she had it it had only been used to transport wine around so it is like new inside. The body has a few bits of light rust but nothing much.
My question is as its only a 1.9 non turbo how difficult would it be to drop in a more recent tdi engine (110 or 130)??
These vans seem to be pretty rare does that mean they are sought after????
what would you do to it, styling wise???

Smooth and slam it on huge polished rims with 40 series tyres and do a monster ICE install in the back. Just think of the room for subs and amps...
White leather interior and dash in the front half, black the rear window, fresh Glacier white paintwork maybe with some subtle, faint airbrush touches. White dials from a seat gti.
And a swing down dual-sided flatscreen monitor that fills the open boot recess wi the tailgate up and faces out and in at the same time for playing vids at custom shows...
(well you did ask)

Engine swap relatively easy if you have the facilities! Just make sure you get the ECU and wiring with it!
