Title: IPOD CONNECTOR

If you order the armrest with ipod connector,will any ipod work or does it have to be a certain one?
The reason i ask is that i am about to buy my first ipod(not very good with technology)and want to know which one to get that will work in my new ed30 ihave ordered.

Not all will work, the brochure datails which ones but I don't have it on me...

If you're buying a new ipod then anything apart from the shuffle will fit - i.e. Nano or Video.

only the very first ipods wont work, the version 1 & 2, which used a BIG firewire connector.
from the version 3 onwards (around 2003) they started using the current long thin connector, which is still used in the current ipod.

so if you buy a new one, it will work, no probs.

Also VW supply a little pack of plastic brakets, which are changeable, which will enable use and snug fit of either ipod of ipod nano.

ipod function is great! You won't be dissapointed, and the sound is good too!
