Title: CENTRAL LOCKING ISN'T WORKING
Post by: JULEE on 08 March 2007, 20:16
Hi ALL

My central locking hasn't worked since I last had my battery removed. Do you think it needs re-setting? If so does anyone know how to do this?

Is there a sequence to re-connecting the battery?

As I said in post before on this subject, its an air pump system, so either the pump motor is broke or disconnected or the pump is knackered.

Its located in the boot under the offside light cluster, looks like a black lump of foam under the carpet.

As I have probably mentioned before, I have tested the pump with 12v across it and it works. However turning the key in the driver side door does not seem to send an electrical signal to the pump. Is there an inline fues somewhere other than the fuse box?

Is there some chip reset procedure anywhere. It seemed to stop working after the battery was disconnected.

I don't get it.

Hmmm..Definately not your fuse? Mine stopped a while ago and it was the fuse (also operates the interior light).
Can you hear your pump working at all?

Sorry,other than that i'm lost...

could just be coincidence julee, theres a microswitch inside the door that operates the pump from the key. Maybe its bad or dropped off?
