Title: Oil sensor

Anyone know the part number for the 2 oil sensors on a 16v? Think mine are playing up. Been looking on eurocarparts but am not sure what I need!

I had seen this, but from searching this forum other people have said there are only 2 sensors, but Slick lists 3......... So now Im confused!

Good point!  Not having a 16v myself i am not sure...  I would give GSF or a VW dealership a ring and get the part numbers off them if no one with a 16v replies.

056 919 081 E - Oil Pressure Switch (1.8 BAR 1 pin White) - 8.21+VAT
028 919 081 D - Oil Pressure Switch (0.25 BAR 1 pin Blue) - 8.21+VAT

The blue one replaces the old black/brown sensor you have :)

Ah cheers, but that second one you listed is a different one again from slicks post in the part numbers post!  :laugh: So now thats 4?

yep, thats cos slick didn't post up the low pressure sensor as fitted to all MK2s ;)

Those are the 2 you need :)

which "sensors" are you after??

the ones on top of the oil cooler or the three on the side of the head (under dizzy).

I think RJ has given you the part numbers for the oil pressure switches on top of the oil cooler.
