does anyone know if you can get 4x100-5x120 adaptors and if you can where from?
thanks
-
Think joe posted something on this topic recently. :undecided:
-
had mine from www.rennsport.co.uk and were cheaper than most places.
-
cheers carl, i know i can get 4x100-5x100 and 4x100-5x130. just can`t find 4x100-5x120
-
That's because you can't do that, you would need to go through 2 sets of adapters - 4/100>5/100 then 5/100 to 5/120
-
bummer
-
Need a good engineering company then and have some made!
-
Actually I was just thinking and a few years back I was looking at having wire wheels on my Pug and coz they have centre knock offs I found this place that made up adaptors and they said they could make up anything!
If ya want i'll have a dig around at home and see if I still got the info.
-
but the good engineering company would tell you why you shouldn't
-
Why?
Because he is increasing the PCD and that will put additional strain on the hub????
I dont see why.
-
No because of the alignment of the bolt holes - too much overlap.
-
Easiest way for you to do it vaughn would be to swap the entire hubs over to mk3 5x100 ones. Two adapter plates will make you eat wheel bearings like they are potatoes, and could in worst case cause the wheel nuts to shear and you to loose a wheel when driving. Also would make the offset something stupid like 6 at the lowest and -15 at highest, so arch clearance would then be a major concern.
Unfortunately much the same problem as i had on my old split rims, couldn't get 4x100 -> 5x112, too much overlap on the holes.
