Hi all!
I recently read in a popular vw publication that it is a good idea to replace the mk2s suspension top mounts with those of the mk3 gti using part number or kit number PR 2E1.
I orderd the parts using this number, Namely the top mounts ond top spring plates. as soon as i saw the top plates i knew they would be to small and this was confimed when i removed the strut it also be came clear that the top mount would not work as it has no internal bearing. the problem is that obviously they will not take these parts back as they were orderd VOR. Does any one know if i need any other parts to complete this conversion or ordering the mk2 g60 top mounts as advised in tim styles performance golf manual???? I am lowering my car using a -40mm weitec springs and uprated shocks.
Any advice gratefully accepted!

g60 top mounts are a straight swap and are more tougher and better
