GoodYear EAGLE F1 GS-D3
-
195/40 R15's GOODYEAR F1's, these tyres are the nuts in the dry, NEVER budge an inch when flyin round round-a-bouts!!!
In the rain is a different sorry thou, still ok but they love to slide.......
A good cheap tyre is a falkcon, can't remeber which one but you can get um for ?35 a peace and are speed rated 150+mph, got a good radial pattern to whip the water from under foot!!!!
-
i got pirelli p5000 dragos on mine totaly f***ing awesome in wet and dry . trouble is they cost me about ?50 a wheel . still nevermind well worth it and last well . as long as the camber is correct to begin with. :(

by the way they are 195/50/15's

I ran 2 sets of yokies when I had 15's. Pretty good all round, but wore quickly. Those were 195/50/15.
now I've got Toyo proxies t1-s in 205/40/17's and they seem ok so far.
Going to 185/65/14 if the snow comes.
-
got conti sports all round
top notch in all weather
195/45/14 front and 215/20/14 rear
-
"195/45/14 front and 215/20/14 rear" - they just look such a weird size still!! but then again they are rubber bands not tyres :)
-
running 195/50/15 yoko A539s, they are i think damn good in the dry but not as good as Goodyear Eagle F1s in the wet but the main reason for them is they are hardwearing. Cheap aswell I picked up 2 for 85 quid. 8)

Toyo Proxes T1-S
No doubt... Unless u wanna spend a shed load of cash and get summet like
Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position

Yoko A520's great tyres and just bought a set of 205/55/15 for ?240! :D Barging
-
To be pedantic - GS D3's are the latest Eagle F1s. Source them if you can. I found that out just after I had the D2's fitted (still freakin great tho)
..........thats if your going for F1s that is :)
-
If you want grip and hard wearing (wet weather grip to die for) look at virtually anything from BF Goodrich. Checking the prices they aren't that expensive either. They grip as much as Yokos, and last as long as Michs.

i had yoko 520's on my 15"s. I managed to shred them in about 9000 miles :'(
-
Your right the a520's don't last long but I go for grip rather than life span. I had my first set of a520's on my mk1 about 5 years ago and i'm still on the same set. I have only done about 4000 miles since then though ;D

ive got falken 451 in 215 / 40 / 16 for ?60 on mine theses lasted a while not long ago i needed 2 front tyres as theses had worn so back to billy whizz and he ordered some more except theses wernt the 451 they were 512 a different pattern they looked good and they are good but they have seem to worn down alot faster than the 451..... but on there website they say there more durable than the 451....http://www.falken.co.nz/index.cfm/Tyres (http://www.falken.co.nz/index.cfm/Tyres)
i'm not sure why they have worn fast they seem to have worn in the middle more but my tyres are not over inflated as i'd of thought???? ??? i know the front do wear fast but this is faster than usual.. >:(
the roads and speed limits around here are terrible..
the roads are either full of pot holes. bumps. speed bumps. mini roundabouts or some other rumble crap which they put down.... i think this has something to do with it as my mates tyres have worn fast aswell
and gordon brown wants even more money!
they have just blown 71 billion! they wasted it.....
and people keep giving them more >:(
it wouldnt be bad if we got something good in return.

Yoko's all round
195/45.15
