Hi guys,
my heater control bulbs have gone on my mk4, is it easy to replace these?
cheers

after spending a good few hours removing the whole centerconsole to allow me enough room to remove the heater control, I then took the thing to bits to find the bulb, at this point I noticed that you should be able to remove the centre knob and get to the bulb from there using a pair of needle nose pliers....

hehe, thanks zime, i`ll give it a go, does the control knob pull off?
-
yep just give it a tug.....

Ive pulled the middle knob out (the one with the numbers on that controls the fan speed) and could see the bulb at the back, I tried to remove the bulb with some tweezers but the bulbs glass just smashed, so im not sure what type of bulb it is when i get a replacement.... is that the only bulb that needs to be replaced on the heater control?.. any tips on taking it out now?? do you have to screw it out or pull it? where can i grip the damn thing!!! PLEASE PLEASE!!!!
Your help is most appreciated.

the bulb just pulls out, they are in there pretty dam tight, if you cant get at it with tweezers or slim plyers you may need to take the unit out, its a royal pain in the butt but if you gotta do it........
