Title: Rev counter wire colours

Hi there,
the rev counter on my '87 16v is not working, i have changed the clocks and its still not going, and neither is most of the MFA stuff.
Does anyone know what colour the rev counter sender, earth and live wires are? My plan is to rig them up by going straight to the coil, bettery - and battery + respectivley to get a rev counter working.

forgot to say they are 2 pin 160mph clocks.

Not ya fuse is it?
On my 1990 16v its the 2nd or 3rd one in from the right as you look at the fuse box.
