Title: info on a remap 4 1.8 turbo

hi all, need some info on remappen a 1.8 20v turbo v reg 117000, look in to remap my golf to 225bhp would that put to much strain on the standed turbo or would i need to upgrade it, is £240 a good price to have it do.

with a remap u'l prob b looking at bout 190-200bhp. £240 is good price normally bout £300-450. the turbo should be fine with the remap  :cool:

Yes a re-map alone will push it up to about 190-196bhp, £240 is a good price.

To push it up to 225bhp you would need to upgrade the turbo. The K03s is suitable, cheap and cheerful, will do the job, might even see 230-235bhp with a proper exhaust and a few minor bits.  :wink:
