Title: poorly help me

my car ran sweet as a nut till i changed the clutch
i broke the knock sensor and replaced it then when i tried to start it no luck
it just kept pumping fuel into the barrels and flooding it
i was told it was the ecu
i have changed the knock sensor
fuel relay
checked all the ternimals
earth dizzy
hall sender working and power to the control unit
i changed the ecu to a secondhand one the only differance was the last letters from a
db to an n is there anything different told it came from the same year and type golf
now it sounds like the pump kicks in then of like it is sopposed to
i have spark but won't start
please help any ideas

double check your gearbox earth, remove all your battery/alt/starter leads and clean them up with sandpaper till shiny & refit.  A dodgy gearbox earth will fry the ECU as you have just found out!
