Title: Alloy refurbing - Change colour?

I think I'm going to get a set of second hand Borbet A's (16x9, 16x7) which have been taken back to the primer, lacquer removed from lip. Which is the best prep/primer to add a top colour? (not to the polished lip). Also what colour to go for??? Silver looks good but what about the black thing going on? I was tempted by white as well! Anyone seen coloured A's?

lol, yeah true. '90 3dr, Gti in Tornado Red. Black might be good, maybe a shadow chrome?
