Title: hand brake light
Post by: BobbyT on 26 February 2007, 11:48
hi all, need to get the old gal through its mot when i get home in april and i know a few things i need to sort before i take it to the garage, now the light that shows the hand brake is on has stopped working, now it did come on just before i came away but then stopped working again so i guess there must be a lose connection, where abouts is the sender for the hand brake light? cheers!

its under the handbrake lever :)
It also comes on with low fluid level.

Would that fail on an MOT?  Mine doesn't work and I've just had my car MOT'd

I don't think it would, I can't see anything specific mentioned in the MOT manual:

my driver never worked, and that passed 2 years! lol jons light comes on when the road is bumpy, and it flickers... dodgy connection i think!

but as for the fluid being low, might have to check, cos im guessing the check the fluid/the cable during the mot!?!?
