been browsing other forums today and looking at some of the posts about these mags alot of people dont seem to like them? now i have to admit i buy both mags most months and enjoy them both, they seem to get a good mix of different cars that cater for all tastes, now dont get me wrong some issues i find are a bit crap but thats only because i may not be into the cars they have chosen for that month but if they always had say mk1's and 2's i am sure i would get bored! so really just asking why so much bad feeling for these mags??? :smiley: :undecided:

I like and buy both every month too! :cool:
obviously you get the odd issue of either which is a bit of a let down but im sure thats the same with most mags, not every issue will appeal to everyone.

I find both to be useful. I have just suscribed to both too.
End of the day it is down to preference. I like all cars and enjoy the read.

I used to be a Golf + man but last few that I have bought have been dissapointing so have been converted to PVW, its just finding somewhere that sells it month after month.

i don't buy PVW any more cause it got boring.

I'm like neaty, not fussed on the new Golf + format and have started buying PVW, Volkswagen Driver is ok some months too

When I get a job again I am going to get a subscription for PVW, I could of done with a copy to read on the train up to glasgow on friday but sadly the places where I have bought it from in the past didnt have it in!

I don't understand the negativity towards them both. They are representing the VW scene we love so why moan? Have being getting them both for years and years... subscription costs work out at what... 3 quid-ish a month? Feckin' ell, cheaper than some nasty chips from Uncle Frank's burger van :grin:

yeah i agree i subscribe to both, some issues are better than other sbut i still look forward to it getting pushed through the letter box!

as an ex subscriber to golf+ i would be tempted to subscribe again, as regards pvw subscribed the other day, i think there both a good read and they`re both getting better

i buy both, and might be getting a big bulk of back issues, mainly of G+ i think he has, from a mate whos moving out his gaff/off travelling :cool:

i agree buy both, i even bought fast car the other day cause it had a nice black golf in it... it doesnt break the bank....

I tend to skim-read them in WHSmiths, see if there's anything interesting and occassionally buy one. I used to buy mags regularly, but they just sit around and take up space in my small flat, so I don't often bother with them now.
Have to say though, quite enjoy reading Practical Performance Car mag, often have interesting articles about conversions, upgrades and so on, even though I'm not mechanically minded, I still enjoy reading about project cars.

dont buy em anymore.... me lads started nicking em and trashin em...
i have to say though throught contact to all 3 magazines about the viva skeg vegas show it got....
vw driver = years subscription as prize for the raffle along with t shirts and other stuff
golf + = james wallace editor said there to financially busy with other stuff to give prizes, but may send a photographer or come hime self (will be sending email to remind and state that other mags have given prizes... lol)
pvw = no reply to any emails etc....
yet good old air cooled read volks world does the lot free ads and everything.....

so if anything ill buy vw driver as theyve supported us in organising this show....
as for the others.... unless its set in stone they dont wanna know.... which is why things get boring....

I buy both magazines every month but I'm not into modded cars that much - prefer them standard or OEM+ at the very most. I'd rather read VW Driver Magazine which I subscribe to - insanely difficult to get hold of otherwise and I used to read VM Motoring until it went belly-up sometime last year.
