Title: Mk3 headlight "upgrades"
Post by: patch900 on 22 February 2007, 14:25
bit of a complicated question, basically has anyone changed the front headlights so the new headlights incorporate the 3 lights (indicator and 2 others) that are in the front bumper ?

so it would look more like the Mk4 lights do.

The reason I ask is you could then fill and smooth the front bumper off with no lights in it.

Any info appreciated as always.

You can get Mk4 type headlight clusters for the Mk3.
Not interested in them myself but I believe they have indicators and fogs.

But if you smooth over the bumpers what about the towing hitch?

would have to leave that but smooth the rest.

Will you have to move your lights Len as you have bought a new front bumper for your 16v havent you ?

No mate - the body kit I bought has the cutouts for the standard indicator/fogs.

I currently have crystal indicators/blanking plates combined and original fogs. I intend to go for the 3 in 1 smoked fogs/indicators.
I already have twin Hella headlights or quads as some call them.
