Title: Anyone had experience in fitting Renault Wheels to a Mk2?
Post by: jaybv6 on 20 February 2007, 08:50
Currently got a set of Renault 15 inch rims with good tyres and wondered if anyone had fitted Renault wheels to a Mk2?  Does anyone know if the bore would match or if I'd need spiggot rings?  The Alloys are 6.5jx15 (I Think). I know that they are 4 x 100.

The bore is too big at 60.1, VW is 57.1 so you'll need spiggot rings :)

I have a set on my cabby actually, I found a company who could supply me with the spiggots but when I decided to sell the Renult wheels I deleted their email sorry

It may be a small ammount but you can tell they arn't sat centred, so defo need spiggots.

Any half decent alloy wheel specialist should be able to sort you out with the spigots. Tey Elite Wheels and Tyres in Reading.

problem is the spiggot you need is very thin, so its more of a specialist supply, needs to be 1.5mm thick!
