Title: Fumes coming out of the tail pipe after engine switched off
Post by: myoptika on 17 February 2007, 17:02
I've just noticed that fumes are drifting out of my exhaust pipe up to 1 minute after the engine is switched off - this isn't normal is it? What could be causing this? Is it something to worry about?

Nothing to worry about, just gases still in the system

Could be steam!.. that could mean head gasket problem, keep a close eye on your water level in your header tank, and check your oil filler cap for mayonaise, (water in oil)

No mayo, it seems to have stopped doing it now.

Weird.
