when i re-built my engine i ran alot of the wires down the inside of the chassis legs. then clumped the rest together with convoluted tubing and zip tied it out the way.

Would electrical insulating tape do the job? or would the heat from the engine just melt it off?

Convoluted tubing is excellent stuff, looks really professional once installed and much better than the crap the VW loom is wrapped in as standard.
