Title: Head skimming

Got my head off for some piston work and want to resurface it. I will probably be saked how much I want taken off. Any ideas what the safe limit is?

Most machine shops that offer skimming will only take off the minimum needed, most will visual the head before taking on the job to make sure there is enough to do it safely.
