With my quest to build a Mk2 so light it floats i have been told by many a dubber to look up allsmiles who are apparently a carbon fiber specilist who make parts for VW golfs. Which is great, except i cant seem to find any information about them, Anyware. I just see there name pop up on forums and e-bay adds. Does anybody know how to get into contact with them???

i heard allsmiles stopped trading?
-
yeah i think he only does stuff for friends etc or to special order. i have no info for him either though, other than that his name is richard tweedle.
-
but if you're feeling brave try carbonology.com
they sell everything you need to make your own carbon fibre parts! very reasonable costs too! i've used them a few times now.

have been given a e-mail address and phone number for Richard Tweedle. Will give that a try. I saw the Carbon fiber boot plinth on the back of the Fast Car Mk2 Cover car and think it would match the carbon exhaust really nicly.
LiteTuned build carbon fiber bonnets for Mk2s but thats it so far. Thanks for your help anyway guys

if you want to make a light golf sell the mk2 and buy a mk1 ;)
-
or strip everything else out of the mk2? who needs passengers anyway?
-
The car is stripped. Theres a dash, Two bucket seats, a Steering wheel and a Roll cage. No carpet, no roof lining, no interiour pannels.
Me and another member on here are looking at entereing two 8V Golfs into the gtiracing events next year. Theres a limit on the amount of weight you can strip from a car. However if you remove too much you can simply put weights back in the car to bring it up to level. However there are no rules on where these weights need to be put. So i could re-locate the weight in the best ares to avoid under / over steer etc.
Sadly, the event is Mk2 golfs only. So thats the Mk1 out of the question too.
