hi i own a mk3 8 valver and im wondering how low do u think i should go so that the arch sits roughly 6-10 cm above th etyre, and wheres the best place to get them, plez help
-
i lowered my mk3 by 40mm, and as u can see by my sig its quite low, depends on how much trouble you want to give yourself when u go over speed bumps etc mate.
I got my kit from GSF (tho its not one of there kits) Its a G&N one that was purchased from one of the guys behind the counter at the lincoln branch. I am very happy with the kit with cost me ?200, and ?100 to get it fitted.
Hope this helps
If you want some before and after pics let me know and i will email them to ya.

yeah i have a mk 3 gti 8v tooo
im dropping it 35mm on 17inch wheels ...
i think 35-40mm is the limit without having any problems at all mate...
-
i dropped mine 30mm but i regret it cuz the wheels dont fill the arches well. on my new car i was thinking 40mm maybe 45mm
-
I heard that to fill the arches totally, u need a 60mm drop which can be purchased at awesomegtistore

Depends what sort of ride you like! 60mm is low but quite hard 40mm is very popular and gives a more forgiving ride. Are you going for coilovers or just springs? Hey golf111 is that your car on your sig? Looks nice! Think i recognise the reg on it where did you get it from?
