I have a MK1 Golf 1.6 - can a 4-2-1 Branch Manifold (meant for a mk1 golf gti) fit to the mk1 golf? - If so is there any modification thats required - if so how much & what needs doing?

Rubjonny, I've messaged the guy on another forum and he says that he's pretty sure it won't fit on a standard golf mk1.
I have a MK1 Golf 1.6, non GTI - the manifold im looking to buy is for a GTI MK1 are you sure it will fit?

Yeah the big block 8v manifolds bolt patterns are all the same shape, whats the engine code on your 1.6 and I'll double, double check ;)

s still a Golf GTI injection engine you have there, I take it you have a cabby GL?

No i have a Tintop Golf 1.6 Campaign shell with the engine has mentioned in it. DX

Just remembered the DX code is a 1.8 engine, the bodyshell is identical so it will defo fit :)

Will get VW to do a engine number check to be sure :)
