Title: Ignition barrel removal mk2 golf

Hi, anyone know how to remove this without breaking anything please,

you need to take off the cowling, the steering wheel, the indicator/wiper stalks assembly, remove the shear bolt (easiest by cutting groove in it and using a flat bladed screwdriver), you'll then be able to pull of the whole alloy assembly. if you have a late mk2 with the larger spline boss you'll need to remove that collar to slide the alloy housing off.
if you don't have a puller to get the sleeve off i think you can unbolt the steering column further down and pull the whole thing out and slide it off the bottom.

Ive already removed everything else so ill have a go at taking the collar of tomorrow - or like you said try adn unbolt the whole thing and slide it off from the botto.
