Title: MK4 - Engine Noise

MK4 1.8T GTI

I can hear a quiet tapping noise, a sort of clicking noise coming from the engine, it's a fairly faint noise though, do you think it's anything to be worried about.

If there was a fault wouldn't the engine make a louder noise?  It seems to drive OK, but I've only had it just over a week now.

oil needs topping up? Tappets causing that noise? ???
