How many people actually own mk3 golf because it seems a little slow on this sight. Does anyone have any thing interesting to ask or talk about
-
I do actually.It's a GTI 8 valve 95 M plate.Just bought it about a month ago.FSH.5 door,Mystic Blue Pearl.71000 miles on the clock.By the way i'm a VW technician.

Does that mean you have the know about mk3 golfs then or do you deal with new ones only. Ive got a GTI 8V also on a M plate its go 59k on the clock. I have had it about 6 months now. So far the mods have been small as I am still a student, they include piper cross induction kit, Remus twin square full system, clear side repeaters, black badges and bee sting. Oh yes its a 3 door.

Hi there PeteB, with you being all technical and stuff, was wondering if you can help me with a problem on my 97 2.0L 8v gti. The problem is it seems to be getting increasingly lumpy - on part throttle or coming off throttle it kind of kangeroos like a learner driver. It was suggested it could be dirty injectors or water in the fuel. I've tried both injector cleaner and water removing additives. both didnt change things. what next?
jim :(

*Had the same problem in his Fiat Punto*
lol, okay, maybe a totally different ballgame here, but that's exactly what mine old car did. (btw I own a 1997 Mk3 1.9D Golf now :P)
My problem was head gasket, and even though there was no 'mayonaise' around the oil cap, it was on it's way out.
Bloody Fiats! *jumps up and down stamping on the V5 logbook "Die you $?"%"*
Anger relieved.
Ian.
