Title: mk3 dash clocks into mk2
Post by: heinz on 08 February 2007, 20:50
Just fitted some mk3 clocks into my 90 spec mk2 using the mk3 dash loom, the clocks power up and show the mileage, time and the tacho works but I have no warning lights, oi,l battery, handbrake, hazards? any idea why?
 Cheers Si

Not sure if the clocks are powering up when the ignition is turned on  as there is no service indicator or mfa indication?

you need to modify the wiring to run them. also what are you doing about the speedo?

have a look at http://www.clubgtiworcs.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1915 for more info

also using the fusebox from the mk3 so I cant see a reason why I need to chop wires about?

Moved the wires about, its now worse  still get the mileage and the time, when I turn the ignition on the milage flashes with no warning lights
Did the clocks differ on mk3? got 160mph ones of ebay

Fixed it   there is suposed to be a shorting link between D8 and E2 on the fusebox thats the switched voltage for the clocks[:)]  fully working now
