Hi all, i currently have a 1.8 mk3 golf,
And its pretty quick for a 1.8, but it lacks very much on braking,
I am going to do a 5-stud conversion with mk3 gti discs all round,
i was wondering what do i need to do the full conversion?
I have found a Mk3 gti P reg which is getting broke which i will take the parts off....
Also Please could someone give me a rough idea of what a garage is likely to charge for the fitting...
Thanks alot all

For the rears since you have drums you'll need:
Stub axles
Fexi brake lines
Calipers
Carriers
Handbrake cables
You'll also have to replace or cut down & re-flare the solid lines.
If you don't have a rear brake pressure regulator, you'll need to fit one, but being a 1.8GL I imagine it does. You may find it easier to just swap the rear beam complete, AFAIK the GTI beams have a rear anti roll bar in the beam that your GL will not.
Oh and I'm not sure if the GTI beams are wider track than the 4 stud ones, another thing to think about.
For the fronts:
Wishbones
Hubs
Calipers
Carriers
Flexi lines
Ball joints
Track rods (I assume you have power steering?)
