Title: Will broken Window fail MOT?
Post by: Mars Attacks on 07 February 2007, 13:13
Hi

Managed to break the mechanism inside the door which the window winder attaches to so i can't move the window up or down anymore. The handle just winds around and around with no window movement. I have currently got it wedged up with a piece of wood inside the door keeping it pushed up so it stays closed.

Obviously i'm going to get it fixed, but the MOT is next week, is this something they test for and if so will it fail the MOT? was going to wait till it was a bit warmer before i started taking the door to bits again as i don;t really have any reason for needing to wind it down in the sub zero temperatures!

Thanks

Never known of window winder mechanisms being checked in the mot so you should be fine.
