Title: audi throttle body

hi can any 1 help me i was thinking of buying an audi throttle body (for performance resons :grin:)and fitting it on my mk1 golf gti 1800 and i was wondering if there was any fing else that i need and how would it make the car run thanx ian

hi mate, you will need to match the inlet manifold for the new throttle body, use a dremel to grind some metal off the inlet holes so they match the size of the throttle body inlets!  :smiley:

thanx Toofunkyhouse so will it make much of a differance in power and speed . oh and does any thing else have to be modified on the inlet manifold or the throttal body?

well i did notice a better pick up, it made it rev out a little quicker, combine this with a new filter and you should see a few more horses! its a pritty easy mod to do, once you have ported your inlet manifold just bolt the new one on! and enjoy!  :grin:

hi ive just received my audi throttle body and ive noticed it has a manual choke and my car has an altermatic choke wot shood i do to make the choke workor is ther a way round it thanx in advance ian
