great news! I've got a bottle of that sat at home  read about it on an old thread on here, but was a bit nervous about using it, so thanks ricey! will slap it on 2moro  did you use the bottle applicator to apply it or a cloth? i wonder how long it lasts? . . . back to black seems amazing when you first use it but once its rained its total sh!te. I cant beleive they can get away with selling it in this country!

i used that stuff on my bumpers once but it didnt really do much to mine for some reason, the only 2 things i have found that really work are used engine oil but its a bit dirty when using it for obvious reasons, and my favourite that i swear by is Turtle wax tyre gel, its super easy to put on and lasts for ages!!!

give it a try when the shoe polish wears off fella you wont be dissapointed

I use auto glym stuff. Its the way you apply the product at the end of the day. Use a decent rag and you will get decent results.

Doesnt oil chew up plastics? :undecided:

I have used autoglym bumpercare for year's but I find it dosen't last long and my bumper's go that grey colour...I will try that shoe polish tommorrow!!! and will post the result's

And I was trained by autoglym!!! (In my past motortrade life) and was told to apply with a sponge and buff off excess with a lint free rag.... It work's a treat but I want a longer lasting finish  :nerd:

just done mine yesterday, easily applied and looked good - until this morning and its all grey again!!!

can only think that the moisture in the air (it was a damp night up here!) has stopped it sticking and/or it has wshed it off!

bummer, I'll have to do it again now!

give it another going over this morning - now it looks a lot better!

a little streaky in places, prob cos I rushed it, but for 64 pence a bottle you can't really argue, it is certainly no worse than back to black!

would put some photos up but its pitch black outside now  :undecided:

Mine has got white marks on which I think looks like a polishing product at some point and I cant get rid of it or cover it at all, any ideas on how to remove it? Looks really shabby, almost tempted to rip them all off and get some new arches and side trims, bumpers are fine they are just grey as usual.

yep autoglym doesn't last, but shoe dye lasted over 6 months on my driver, time to drag out the good old before & after shots!

P.S. I've heard all the 'wow it works on steels/lights/grills' etc etc ;)

Im not sure if you know but if you have a heat gun/hair dryer you can get the same results using that. Just be careful not to leave on to long or the obvious will happen.
Apparently it makes the molecules react again like when the bumpers where first manufactured and gives it that new black look once again.

shoe dye works a treat and will last about 3mths. i apply with the sponge applicator then rub off/in excess using a cloth.

@mattp1983 - a pencil eraser will remove wax residue of the bumpers/trims

Some Pound shops sell good Tyre shine stuff, dont buy the bumper shine - its pants. Tyre shine for a pound is good on bumper trim and last for a while; probably depends on weather I suppose.  :lipsrsealed:

going to get a bottle of shoe dye again, did it last year and its only gone away now after so long!!

i got a secret formula i use on my dash and interior it shines and cleans everything leaving a nice finish and smells great.

get some baby oil in a small jug or pot and put some boiling hot water in there and mix it up as much as you can and wipe it around on your interior and wipe down with a dry cloth. works a treat especially on leathers!
