Hi all,
Simple question really:-
Does the steering wheel on the Edition 30 Golf GTI have a silver GTI logo or a red logo?
I saw the photo in December 06 VW driver magazine of the steering wheel and it clearly had a red logo and in the write up it also states that it has the red gti logo. It was clearly citing the UK 30th edition at the top of the page and not the German spec. When I saw the 30th edition at my local dealers it had the plain silver logo. I asked, but they had no idea and never even thought that it had a red logo. Can anyone shine some light on this?
Sorry to be a bit of an anorak - Does anyone even have a preference :nerd:
RED or SILVER you decide
My preference would be RED

Red for me too although I have no idea what is actualy on the Steering Wheel
mmmm....must be time for me to chase delivery up again

The one featured in CAR magazine this month definitely looks silver. As was the one in my local stealers.
Sorry guys

So now VW can't afford a bit of red paint - they can't be that pressed to increase profits surely?
What we should do is to all chip in a quid and post a few cans of red paint to Wolfsburg with an explanation letter.
To be honest, I'm getting quite disgusted with their attitude - I mean they couldn't even be bothered to put a number plaque on the car like for the Mk4 Anni. All this is making me think whether I should give them anymore of my hard earned cash after the Edition 30... but I know what will happen. VW will release another stormin' GTI or R36 or whatever in a few years time and I'll probably go and get one. :embarassed:

There is a picture on the autometrix site showing the mag feature and the gti logo in red

illyun is right
No number plaque
No Black (sweet) Monza 2's
Plain GTI logo instead of red
What next?
Sorry sir the included mats are extra!
or
We ran out of paint for the colour coding! :embarassed:
Surely it would have been cheaper for VW to have the same spec across the board?
-
Well I am going to bloody well paint mine
-
I'll be buying some tornado red when I collect my Edition 30 then
-
What badge we on about here chaps ? Steering wheel or exterior one/s ?
I mite remove the GTi badges and the edition badge and lay them on the path so they can be stolen that way
