Title: can anyone help
Post by: chevychase on 23 January 2004, 00:09
i have got a broken rubber tube, its small at one end and big at the other. it comes off the air box and goes into the engine by the oil filter. i've had a look in the haynes manual and theres not much help but they had a little pic and im not sure if is the right one. crankcase breather ring any bells?

I'm sure the 16v breather is different to the 8v.

The 16V breather is on the front of the block and the 8V one is mounted on the cam cover and has a big plastic plug that replaced the earlier built in wire mesh type cam covers.

Sounds to me like the breather to airbox hose.
