Yo YO! Don't know if this is the right place to post this but I thought ide try :P
What is a mk2 golf like for a first car on insurance etc???

Just to give you an idea, this is what i paid for mine (mark 2 1.6 driver)
Aged 17, on mums insurance with Norwich Union, social and commuting and all that gubbins, £1200 a year, which wasnt too bad.
it was pretty good on fuel too despite me screwing the bollocks off it

I'm 18 (19 in a week) and paying £1500 on a Gti 8v.That with 1 NCB.

On a gti? A lot!
Admiral/elephant/bell are all probably your best bet for a reasonable quote on a quickish car below the age of 21 :wink:

i've just turned 18 n ive got a 1.3 mk2 and it cost me £350 on my moms insurance fully comp with tesco , 1 more year n ill have the GTI

Can you get a mk2 say 1.3 litre lowered with alloys and looking the gti's ???
