Title: Fitting a front Strut Brace - OMP
Post by: jaybv6 on 29 January 2007, 11:27
I bought a couple of strut braces made by OMP.  One rear and one front one.

Does anyone have any pics on how they have fitted the below front strut Brace (top one in pic)to their Mk2 golf GTi 8v?  Dependant on which way round I have it the thing either fouls on the Header tank (brace curves towards engine) or on the brake fluid reservoir (brace curves towards bulkhead).  Any help would be appreciated.

It's the right brace but searching around it seems that the Header tanks need relocating to accomodate.  Anyone had any experience of this?  Especially with an OMP type as pictured.

Has anyone relocated their header tank, if so where and how?
