Hello all, this looks like a great place i have found!!
I have a 1.8 mk 1 gti in at the moment with a duffer injector... Just wondered whether i should just change it for a new stock one or if anyone had any experiance with anything better to replace all of them with that may make it a bit chirpier???
It goes well enough at the moment, but any extra ponies would be nice!
Also need a replacement high preasure fuel line to one of the injectors... DOes anyone else but the dealers do them.??>.
Cheers
Bob

Hi Bob,
People have tried different injectors, but in reality, they don't make a big difference due to the fuel delivery being metered by the metering unit, not the injector.
You will notice a big difference with good standard injectors,(fit new 'o' rings while your at it).
You may be able to get the pipes made at a hydraulic specialist, probably best to trawl Fleabay for some good second hand ones.

Thanks for the advise amigo... ONE NEW STANDARD INJECTOR COMING UP!!

buy a set of brass ones off ebay, theres a guy sellin em for £50 a set. Check the part# on one of your old ones first, let me know what it is and I'll check if the brass ones will fit.
If one injector is duff, the rest wont be far behind!

Cheers amigo,
I'll check them numbers out, what aboput the actual injector hose itself... All of them are good except the one for number 4 injector which appears quite rotten..
Do i have to contact the main dealers for these...

not something you'll easily find pattern parts for, but shouldnt be hard to find a second hand set.
