Had my golf for about 2 weeks now and had a few teething problems then on Thursday it started pulling back (as if there was a problem with the battery) then on Friday morning she wouldnt start.
have replaced the battery, and the battery terminals and know that the fuel pump is working as you can bridge the the pump to get it to work, but no fuel going to the engine when plugged in normally.
Turning over ok, but engin not firing, but also a problem with blowing a fuse on the indicator relay :undecided:
Am at a total loss... any suggestions???
-
have you checked the relay as i think they can be at fault or even the earths?
-
8 or 16v and do you have spark at the plugs?? when U switch on ignition does fule pump cut in and then switch off? does the ISV valve switch on and off?
-
Checked the relays they appear to be ok!!
and cant find a problem with the wiring earthing.
its a 8valve and everything else is working fine as far as we can see.
When you start the car the pump wont work at all no buzz or anything, however it works when you bridge it direct to the power and erm ISV (please explane)
Cheers
