Hi there,
I am looking into buying an import and would like some views please.
The car I am being offered is a MY 06. The importer tells me that VW registered the car when it was manufactured so despite the fact it is new I think it was built in November 05.
IÂ’ll still get 9 months VW warranty (balance of the 24 months) but am concerned that the car has been sat idle (in Cyprus I think for over a year). Is this likely to have damaged the tyres, paintwork or discs? I donÂ’t imaging thereÂ’s any fuel in which would have gone off.
IÂ’ve nearly convinced myself that if anything is going to go wrong it will happen within the VW warranty - what do you think?
The car is high spec DSG/Xenons/sunroof/PDC/Metallic/MF Steering/ CD Changer and offered at £20.5k so its very tempting.
Any views/experiences of imports would be great.
