Title: After market alloys - not alot of choice
Post by: gmac on 26 January 2007, 22:46
I'm having trouble finding a decent set of 18" alloys for my 06/56 GT TDi 170. I want something like the ones in the pic below, but due to the high offset of the mk5, there isn't much on the market. Does anyone know where I can get a sensibly priced 18" wheel and tyre package ?

I have tried most of the firms that advertise on the bay, and although they're mostly pretty helpful, they all say the same thing - not much for your car mate !

btw - I got that pic off here a while back, so even though the pics look like they've come from over the pond, maybe the owner could give me the name of the wheels  :undecided:

Any pics of the gallardo reps?  I fancied some real ones but they're a bit pricey.  If the reps look as good then I'd get a set.

www.rochfordtyres.co.uk are very good. I bought a set for my mini. The prices are low and the delivery and service is first class.

I think BK Racing do a set similar to that in a variety of colours. I think the just released a black version. Hang on...

yep here we go. £755 including postage. Not bad. Take a look.

Spoken to 'bigally' a couple of times this week, and he has been very helpful. Well worth a call if you need anything

They look superb.

BBS LM's or CH's, that's all you need to decide over

DP Motorsport have assured me they are the correct fitment, so we'll see when/if they turn up today.

please let me know, if they are ET35 i wouldn't fit the they will be about 15mm too far outboard, I did it when the golf came out and it caught all the time and did a bit of damage to the arch's!!

Wheels are on - yummage !

They fit fine, no rubbing, and I'm really pleased with the look - Just what I was after. Not bad looking for an old oil burner.

BTW, the offset is ET42.
