Title: mk4 clocks and mfa's any wizz kidz on these?
Post by: cupra20v.t on 25 January 2007, 12:31
i have a set of mk4 clocks, now im not sure if they are diesel ones or petrol ones but i want to try and wire my mk3 mfa up to the mk4 clocks. i have the clocks working in my car  now and all the warning lights work like main beam, rear fog, side lights, abs, air bag, speedo, rev counter etc  but i would like to wire the mfa in if possible.

the plug sockets in the clocks have all the pins there but the plugs only have a few pins, so my logic is saying the clocks could have a mfa but as the plug/loom wires are limited they decided not to wire or place pins in the plug to allow the mfa to work as the clocks came out of a run of the mill golf, 1.4 i think

do all mk4 clocks have a mfa?  if so is it controlled through a brain in the clocks or a brain somewhere else.

does anyone think it is possible to wire up my mk3 mfa to work and display the normal mk3 mfa functions through the mk4 clocks.
