hiya!!
right as you might of read in another thread i like the outside tempreture thing on the on board trip computer. since mine has come back from the garage it now doesnt have it!!!!!
i get:- the time, how long ive been driving, how many miles, average speed, mpg, oil temp and then...................nothing!! straight back to the time!!!!
where has my thermometer gone?????

If its the same as the mk4 the sensor is in your bumper. The garage may have taken the bumper off and forgotten to plug the sensor back in when they put it all back together.
-
As topher says, take it back to the garage
-
The sensor is located in the vent looking thing on the driver's side and is fitted in the bottom of the bumper..I am guessing but the garage will deny they have touched it!!! I would check if the wire is still connected and you will need small hand's to feel it as there ain't alot of room (and that the vent is stilll there as they fall out quite often...)

ok ta.
i know teh garage never took the bumper off so doubt its anything to do with them.. ill try find the thingy thru the vent

Hi,
What did your car into the garage for? and what was done to it? as they may have disturbed something that may link in with this display without knowing.

hiya
it went in for a new coil pack and cam sensor and mot so pretty sure they wouldnt of took the bumper off.
ill go try sort it out today

Hi again..
On some Mk3 gti's there is a small earth strap bolted between the coil pack securing bolt and the cylinder head. if this is left off then it can make the computer do some strange things.
some had this wire and some didn't?
