Title: Fitting a spoiler to a tdi
Post by: zeffania on 22 January 2007, 19:03
Hi, I am new and wondered how easy it is to fit a small spoiler from a GTI to a tdi. Is it a straight forward bolt on with a couple of holes and possibly bonding or more complicated?

The same for removal as its still on the car and the guy selling is unsure if it will come off without breaking

Thanks

Presume it's the standard roof/boot spoiler? I have just bought one and they can be either bonded or bolted on, depends on who fitted it I think. They must have been an option as my GTi hasn't got one so they may have been fitted at the dealer?

They were an option and as far as I know are bonded

Cool, thanks handy to know

Cheers

Don't suppose you have any idea how you would remove it if its been bonded on as the car my girlfriend is going to buy it off says its possible it might break?

Thanks

oh, that bad then  shame as the price is very good and with getting a new house the cars are taking a back seat. Oh well fingers crossed he has some luck getting it off
