Title: Wiring up Centre Spots (Twin Grill)
Post by: Ads on 21 January 2007, 15:12
Hi.

I bought a Twin Grill for my MK2 and fitted new crystal lights. For some reason my car
doesnt look to have any wiring for the centre spots?

Did not all Golf Gtis come with the orginally? The car had a Single grill when i bought it
but i wanted to return to the standard look.

Anybody help? How can i get it working?

theres a loom for it, should run off the original headlamp loom, youll have the connection into the back of the headlamp, and then 2 brown and 2 white coming out, but only one yellow, and the extra 2 should go to another connector which feeds the spots..

not all MK2s got the loom for the centre spots, if yours didn't you'll need to make your own up. Ideal time to get/make an uprated headlight loom ;)

if it has an extra relay for the main beam, I would splice your spots into this :)
