Title: Black Mk3 16v - Washed and waxed!
Post by: stomper on 21 January 2007, 09:49
Hi all,

I joined the forum some time ago and posted in the new members section.

Since then i've fitted some Weitec Coilovers, 15mm spacers all round, deep front spoiler and put my BBS RXII's back on.

Car needs a good clean but here's some before and after pics.

Before:

After:

At the moment it's set right for me, doing 20k a year in this so everyday use/speed humps are an issue and also since spacing the wheels i can't go too low because of the plastic arches.

Once I get round to taking them off and maybe rolling arches i'll probably be tempted to go a bit lower

Let me know what you think.....

I think they were £400, newly refurbed with 4 good tyres.

They're the 7x16's off the mk3 anniversary.

The weitec's were £440, you can fit them yourself or pay about £150 to get them put on for you.

Make a big difference to looks and handling, was running original shocks and springs before (10 years old!) safe to say they were a bit tired!

Thanks for comments everyone, worth the hour and a half i spent this morning!

Vicky - I use some back to black type stuff, quite cheap out of halfords, bit like shoe polish, will check what it's called.

Daz - I've got some metal polish i normally use on exhaust and polishd lips of wheels, basically fine wire wool with polish in it!!

Boney - Get the car cleaning gear out next weekend
