Title: New turbo fitted to Mk4 TDI but still loss of power - help!

Hi folks

Can anyone help or advise.  I got air mass sensor and temp guage sensor fitted about 6 months ago.  Last week my turbo decided to die on, got a new one fitted (not by a VW stealer) went for drive today and car still feels as if losing power.  Does anyone know if the air mass sensor etc would have been affected by the turbo packing in last week?  Anyone got any idea's, i spent a packet recently and just wondered if anyone can offer any advice if there is perhaps something that I can check before getting any garage to do any repairs.  (car is a 2001 TDI 1.9 PD)

bit obvious but have you checked all the hoses for any splits etc?

MAF could have been affected; one way to check is to unplug it and take the car for a quick spin round the block.  If performance feels better than its likely you need a new MAF  :sad:
