Title: Golf GT TDI 150
Post by: colley on 17 January 2007, 18:43

Been looking at getting a derv golf for sometime, and finally found a 3door 52 plate gt tdi 150.

Milage is 56k which i thought was low for a derv golf. Also has the full leather intreior and been told has the turbo 16" alloys.

The garage is asking 10k for it.

What people recon i should be paying?

Its not the cheapest around. At that price I would expect a service, tax and decent warranty to be included. Have a search on Auto trader, that will give you an idea or price. If you can though, buy privately, you will probably save around £2000.

going to go thru on saturday with my sisters boyfriend, see what he think and if we can haggle them down, to possibly 9. Main reason to going to a dealer is to part ex my corsa against it as he's offered me 2.8k for the corsa.

fingers crossed, saving the grand would be better in my pocket!

that sounds about right for dealer price, but like mantamad say's you'd expect that to include a good warranty atleast.

56K is about average for a 3 1/2 year old Diesel, oh you have to get the cam belt and water pump done at 60K which will cost you about £300 at the dealer, i got mine done locally for £220 so you might want to mention that when you haggle, obviously the 60K service would also include the normal stuff so at a guess with the cam belt about £500.
